Saner interpretation, please?

Slylock Fox – December 24th, 2013

Foolish cat, believing you could stand against the nose-biting bird even as the femurs of his last kill are still warm! This is how you die, surrounded by the cruel smiles of your peers. That last, mocking sound? Their laughter. It was your pride, not the bird, that killed you. And now you don’t even have that.

My god, another bird is biting an upper species! C’mon, Slylock. You fight all matter of animal crime, yet you can’t stop birds from biting the asses, tails and noses of your fellow mammals?? Slylock’s getting soft on the job…too much canoodling with Cassandra Cat, I suppose.
