Sorry, citizens!

Slylock Fox – November 11th, 2013

11_11

Every Slylock comic is starting to read like some kind of ridiculous challenge Slylock imposes on himself. “Come on Max, let’s defeat Count Weirdly… in sixty seconds!

And then what? Seconds tick away. Slylock’s pupils dart back and forth, taking in every detail. Triumphantly, he eyes the last spider, and looks down at his watch. Sixty one seconds. He hangs his head and leaves. A genius knows when he’s lost.

It’s too bad. If Slylock had spotted the tenth spider just one second sooner, then Weirdly would have been honour-bound not to send them out into the world.

That was the only way they could prevent his plan from unfolding, really, by convincing him not to do it. See, we can see Max is scared to death of those spiders so you can’t count on him to capture any. As for Slylock, Weirdly counted (see what I did there?) on him showing up, which is why he arranged to have a big snake in the room. He knows that snakes give our hero problems.
